My heart is especially for women and communities who have faced hardship, and we bring a compassionate and empowering approach to every session.
From strategic planning to talanoa, wānanga, and community engagements to speech preparation. This also weaves in nicely with our Samoan concept of 'soalaupule', which means to resolve differences using our cultures and traditions.
Amplifying community voices and supporting social initiatives. Building confidence, clarity, and capability in current followers and future leaders. To be a great leader, we must first learn to be great followers. One cannot lead, if one does not know how to follow first. A Samoan proverb that grounds my understanding of leadership is: "E au i le tauola, e au foi i le fagota."To master the depths of the ocean, one must first master the art of fishing.
This proverb teaches us that before we can become skilled leaders, tautai, we must first follow and serve. The art of followship, begins by holding the basket, observing, learning, and honouring those who have gone before us. We follow the process. We listen deeply. We practise with patience. Only then, after we have truly understood the craft, can we step forward with the wisdom and grace required to lead.
This is the spirit behind the concept of Followship, a term born from the merging of follow and leadership. It reminds us that true leadership is not about position, but about posture. Before we guide, we serve. Before we speak, we listen. Before we lead, we learn.
In every great leader lies the heart of a follower, anchored in humility, sharpened by experience, and ready to uplift others with vision and clarity.
Professional hosting of events, forums, and community gatherings.
I wear my Pasefika heart on my sleeve, and I will pepper our events and occasions with Pasefika energy. Perhaps we may be able to hypothetically conclude that this Pasefika energy will generate enough electricity to power the whole of New Zealand, Australia and the Pasifika as an entirety.
I ove speaking life into people and bringing messages of hope, courage, and leadership to audiences of all kinds. Through Elevana, we now offer motivational speaking for events, whether it be a conference, church service, workplace team day, or a community gathering.
